Get Back in Shape in Bastrop
August 18, 2023 3:13 pmHave you neglected your fitness routine this summer? We all do it sometimes and need to get back on track. New routines are beginning as the kids go back to school — why not start a new one for yourself?! Getting started is probably the hardest step. But don’t worry because Bastrop offers several places to help you get back on the wagon. First, though, you need to make the Nike choice to “Just Do It”!
The best place to start is by writing down your goals and displaying them in a prominent place, like a vanity or dresser mirror. Then you can craft a plan to reach your intentional goals. Will you go to a gym or work out at home? Do you also want to change your eating habits? How will you do that? It can sound intimidating to get started, but we’re here to help with some solutions that are close to home.
HT Fitness
Try the weekly fitness challenge at HT Fitness to motivate you and keep you accountable. This club is in Bastrop and five other nearby cities. Your membership includes free child care and free group classes at any location. Plus, you can get nutrition tips and guidance. Also free with membership is Fit Camp! HT Fitness aims to take you out of your comfort zone. If you want to look and feel better, have more daytime energy, get stronger, and sleep better, this program is for you. Oh, and you don’t have to sign a contract to join!
Body + Shine Wellness
Have you tried Yoga and Pilates? They are excellent ways to get in shape and improve your overall health. Head over to Body + Shine Wellness in Bastrop to sign up for a beginner class (or a more advanced one if you’re at that point). They suggest starting with slow stretches, yin, or restorative yoga classes if you need to start out slowly. If you need more of a workout, try flow, strengthen and stretch, or a Pilates mat class. You can take a class in the studio or online (or a mixture of both) to suit your lifestyle.
The Bastrop Fitness Project
You can customize every part of your routine at The Bastrop Fitness Project. The project is designed like a food court for health and wellness. Inside, you’ll find a gym, Pilates and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu studios, a recovery room, a cafe, a juice and smoothie bar, acupuncture and herbal medicine, chiropractic care, massage therapy, and a play center for your little ones. And you get to pick the ones you want to use! Their experts will help you design the best program to de-stress, get stronger, lose weight, and learn new habits that will keep you on track to achieve your goals. You only pay for the services you want and can change your routine anytime.
