Classic Easter Movie Week
Celebrate Easter with Peter Cottontail, Dora the Explorer, Charlie Brown, and Snoopy during Classic Easter Movie Week. You’ll love watching free movies at 10:00 AM Monday, March 11th through Friday, March 15th at Film Alley in Bastrop. All ages are welcome, and you can get snacks at the concession stand — because what movie is complete without snacks?!
Easter Egg Hunt and Photos
The season wouldn’t be complete without a photo with everyone’s favorite rabbit! Take your kiddos to the free Egg Hunt and Easter Bunny Photos event to capture the memories. Starting at 10:00 AM Saturday, March 23rd at Film Alley, ages 2-12 can join the egg hunt and get a picture taken with the Easter Bunny. Have even more fun at this hunt by dressing up in Easter finery and bringing personalized baskets for your kids.
New Life Church Egg Hunt
New Life Church right here in Bastrop is opening its doors for an easter celebration! Stop by for an Easter Egg Hunt at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 23rd at 10091 Peach Orchard Road. Everyone is welcome — don’t forget to bring your best Easter egg-hunting basket.
Create Unique Baskets
To prepare for the upcoming excitement, consider creating unique Easter baskets! You could fashion a basket out of light canvas printed with a fun design like this humorous “For Peeps’ Sake” design. Or, you can get crafty and weave your basket from ribbon and hot glue. Even if you have minimal sewing skills, you can make a fabric basket from cute Easter prints trimmed in florals or polka dots. Then there’s our favorite: a basket made of candy! It’s a base of chocolate and M&Ms filled with, yep you guessed it, more candy!
Personalizing your kids’ baskets will help make Easter more memorable and give you an activity to do together — and what’s better than spending time with your loved ones?
