What is Cinco de Mayo?
Cinco de Mayo celebrates the triumph of the Mexican army over the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. This day is celebrated in Mexico and parts of the United States, where there are significant Hispanic communities, like our very own Bastrop!
