Coffee Greeks: A Taste of Greece

Greek food lovers in Bastrop will soon have a new go-to spot with the opening of Coffee Greeks this fall. Set to debut inside Silver Creek Collections at 1018 Main St., this Greek coffee and dessert shop is sure to leave you wanting more.

Replacing the coffee kiosk at Merc on Main, Coffee Greeks will offer a selection of authentic Greek beverages and desserts. Expect rich espressos, cold brews, chai and matcha lattes, and a variety of sweet treats like baklava, bougatsa, and galaktoboureko. The aim is to provide a taste of Greece while shopping at Silver Creek Collections. Plans include adding Greek dishes such as moussaka and spanakopita, ensuring that there’s something for every palate.

Bastrop HEB Expansion

The Bastrop H-E-B Plus is undergoing a $30 million expansion, bringing several exciting updates to the store. Shoppers will notice a new temporary grocery entrance and a relocated curbside pickup area to facilitate the construction of a new True Texas BBQ.

The expansion will include:

• More pharmacy space.
• A more extensive produce section.
• A renovated meat and seafood market.

Also, the store will gain 18,000 square feet of new space. While the fuel pumps were temporarily out of service to build a new employee restroom kiosk, the expanded curbside area will eventually return to its original spot next to True Texas BBQ. The timeline for completing the expansion is still pending, but the improvements will enhance the shopping experience.

Blake’s Music Shop–Larger and Louder

Blake’s Music Shop is moving to the Colorado Crossing Shopping Center.  This move will offer a broader selection of instruments and accessories, improved parking, and a dedicated music lessons team.

The new location will offer kids a safe space to explore and learn new skills and feature open mic nights. This expansion promises to be a vibrant addition to the local music scene. 

Radiant Juice + Smoothie Bar: A Fresh Start

Radiant Juice + Smoothie Bar, Bastrop’s first whole-food juice and smoothie bar, has a new home and owner. Opened on January 14, 2024, at 1002 Chestnut St., the bar is now under the ownership of DeLacey Martin.

Martin is passionate about health and wellness and continues to offer fresh, cold-pressed juices, superfood smoothies, chia seed parfaits, and sustainably made snacks. The bar will also carry wellness products like salves, elixirs, and elderberry syrups.
