Lost Pines Christmas 2024: Festive Events Await

Bastrop invites you to join the annual Lost Pines Christmas celebration this December, where small-town traditions shine brighter than ever. Various events are lined up, ensuring fun and festive experiences are available.

Kick off the season with the Wassail Fest & Small Business Saturday on November 30. This annual event invites visitors to downtown Bastrop to enjoy homemade hot mulled cider while participating in the People’s Choice Awards for the best recipes. It’s an excellent opportunity to support local businesses and shop small during the holidays.

From November 29 through January 6, the Bastrop River of Lights will light up the scenic riverwalk with dazzling displays in various seasonal themes. This half-mile promenade is perfect for evening strolls with loved ones. The June Hill Pape Riverwalk Trail provides the ideal backdrop for the season’s sights.

Don’t miss the Farm Street Opry: A Country Christmas on December 5, where the Farm Street Opry Band performs holiday classics, and Santa makes a special appearance. Not only is this merry event a country-Christmas for all of the cowboys and cowgirls out there, but it provides a night of fellowship and community over music. 

One holiday season highlight is Bastrop’s Rockin’ Holiday Revue at the historic Bastrop Opera House, running from December 6 to December 22. With a live band, local performers, and festive decorations, this event is sure to get you into the holiday spirit. The holiday fun culminates in the Lost Pines Christmas Lighted Parade on December 14, featuring over 130 entries, from dazzling floats to Santa himself, lighting up the streets of Bastrop. Your little ones will love seeing the fire truck, vintage cars, unicycles, and more!
